Using locally remanufactured cartridges significantly reduces your carbon footprint and helps stimulate the local economy. Not only does it prevent used cartridges from ending up in landfills where they will take over 1000 years to decompose, but it also takes away the need to build and ship new cartridges. Canadians on average throw out 10,000 cartridges per day. One new cartridge requires approximately 3 quarts of oil, and is shipped halfway around the world on fossil fuel burning container ships, trains, and transport trucks.
